(G)I-DLE's second breakup song 'HWAA' gives off the chilly and bitter cold winter vibe with its musical arrangements along with Eastern instrument sounds to let the listeners to feel the aching pain from a breakup. In this moombahton track, the feelings after a breakup are portrayed as 'HWAA' which has dual meanings of 'Fire' and 'Flower' with addictive hook and lyrics that show gradual change.[1]

- "HWAA" was created in 2019 after Queendom. It was the candidate title track for their comeback in April 2020 but "Oh my god" was chosen instead.[1]
- Soyeon stated that this song was inspired by Shuhua saying "winter girl".[1]
- "HWAA" was re-released as a single on January 27, 2021, which included English and Chinese versions of the song.
