HANN (Alone) (한(一)) is the first digital single album by South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE. It was released digitally on Aug 14, 2018 along with a music video for the song.

Description[]

"(G)I-DLE, the monster rookie, hit the world music market and ranked high on several music charts soon after their debut. Their new digital single, 'HANN (Alone)' will continue the craze of 'LATATA' which contains fateful story tells about there is no eternal love.

Believe it or not, (G)I-DLE has achieved a remarkable success within two months since their debut in May 2018. (G)I-DLE who has been recognized as a global premium rookie, presents their new digital single 'HANN (Alone)' to continue the unstoppable race.

The song 'HANN (Alone)' is based on Moombahton from house music genre showing connection with the previous song "LATATA". This song has written by Soyeon expressing betrayal, parting, and feeling of left by using the ambiguous word Han (Han has various meaning such as a number, one, or a combined feelings of sorrow, spite, rancor, regret, resentment, or grief). Self-producing and self-composing its own debut album shall be an unusual talent for a new female idol group, but Soyeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE, had been recognized for her composing and producing talent and again, she now presents a new song, 'HANN'. Minnie's whistling sound on the intro of the song stimulates the listener's ear and creates a unique and cool atmosphere, leaving intense reverberation to the listener. The heavy, subdued drum beat centers on the organ sound that captures the ears makes the overall atmosphere of the song dreamy and mysterious. The vocal tones of the six members melted over the layers of various folk musical instrument sound. Like a dance of a passionate dancer for a loved one, the lyrics are straight and maintain a dignified attitude without any frustration even getting hurt by farewell. You will be also captured to a magical spell "I'll forget about you". (G)I-DLE shouts out.

Such as 'LATATA', director Won-ki Hong (ZanyBros) directed the girl's Music Video again and successfully completed filming the girls' appearance who have locked themselves in their minds and closed their hearts. Emotional images that utilize objects such as mirrors, clothes, and flowers that are connected to the group performance are displayed in the distinctive contrast, colorful lighting, and fancy film set captivate the eyes without a dull moment. As hot as the heat of this summer, please look forward to the girls' energetic performance on the stage.

"Compare to 'LATATA', HANN (Alone) has a different charm and color. Since Soyeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE and knows best about the members, has wrote the song, the song well harmonized each member's personality and charm, now become one."[1]
