2 is the second full-length album by South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE. It was released on January 29, 2024 with "Super Lady" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in 13 versions: 0, 1, 2, five individual Jewel versions and five individual Poca Album versions.
"Wife" was pre-released on January 22, 2024.

This album will increase authenticity and completeness by having the members participate in composing and writing lyrics for all tracks, while also showing an expanded musical world by including tracks that are entirely in English, such as ‘7Days’ and ‘Rollie’. ‘Revenge’, the second track, captures that heart from its intro with the lyrics saying how the person's pain is my one and only pleasure along with classic, unique sound. Especially, distorted sound of bass guitar riff and tensed synth sound doubles the vibe of overall track. Third track ‘Doll’ is an Ode dedicated to a person who treated love as a toy. It stuns the listeners with a dark vibe track and powerful chant section. Meanwhile, for the fourth t rack, ‘Vision’, attractive lyrics that sings you could achieve anything in illusion and dreamy chord progression on a tensed beat create a special vibe. Fifth track ‘7Days’ is a hybrid style track, harmonized by Drum & Bass beat and sentimental guitar riff that holds pit-a-pat feeling of wanting to spend time eternally with the lover. Then, the sixth track ‘Fate’ talks about the ‘Fate’ that appeared out of blue with witty lyrics on an impressive funk-based, minimal, and colorful band sound. Seventh track ‘Rollie’ portrays gorgeous, sassy ‘me’ straightforward through dynamic, vintage Pluck sound and delivers the message even more unique. The final track ‘Wife’ is a Bubblegum-based pop track that impresses the listeners with the trendy and cute lyrics that only (G)I-DLE can express on a sophisticated sound. On January 8, 2024, Cube Entertainment announced (G)I-dle would be releasing their second studio album titled 2 on January 29. Four days later, a comeback trailer was released. On January 13, the promotional schedule was released. Five days later, the track listing was released with "Super Lady" announced as the lead single. On January 19, the audio snippet teaser was released. On January 21, the music video teaser for "Wife" was released. A day later, "Wife" was released alongside its music video. On January 24, a story film for "Super Lady" was released, followed by the music video teasers on January 25 and 26. The music video was released on January 29. A music video for the b-side track "Revenge" was released on February 16.
Commercial performance[]
2 has surpassed the previous record set by I Feel; selling over 1,163,395 copies. Remarkably, the album achieved million-seller status within two days of its release, a notable feat given the recent downward trend in K-pop idol group sales. Positioning (G)I-DLE as the 5th highest-ranking K-pop girl group for all-time initial release sales, trailing behind Aespa, New Jeans, Ive, and Blackpink.
